Ogilvy promotes sanctuary status with #ChicagoIsOne

On May 22, The City of Chicago, along with Ogilvy Chicago, fired back a moving response to President Trump’s threats to take away funding for sanctuary cities, Chicago being one of them.

The fundraising campaign and website called, #ChicagoIsOne, seeks to remind Chicagoans that the immigrant story is everyone’s story.

 

Chicago team wins “Next Great Animated Series”

Odd Machine executive producer Alec Pinkston, director Gregory Hinchman and director Peter Stepnoski’s animated short, Senataur, took top honors in “The Next Great Animated Series” contest sponsored by Tongal and Project Greenlight.

The three-and-a-half-minute comedy trailer about a space alien centaur who forces his way into the American legislative branch is a no-holds-barred, graphic commentary on the nation’s sociopolitical landscape.

So here we were. NJ Bourque and myself. Yep, we were going to do it. We were going to make a short film on our own and I was going to direct this puppy.

On the surface, I felt as confident as Jordan in the paint, as I had worked with some of the best in the business — Spike Lee, Michael Bay, Marcus Nispel, Jaume Collet-Sera, Pam Thomas and Malcolm Lee. I was ready. I could do this. Yes, yes.

All of that sounded great over wine with NJ. However, in the morning, while drinking coffee, I was more like, “What the fuck have I committed myself to?”
