GEICO has just launched its latest creative campaigns, continuing the lighthearted and familiar narrative with everyone’s favorite lizard, the Gecko, and the iconic Caveman.
These two characters are making their grand return across a variety of platforms, including TV commercials, OLV, streaming services, and social media. The campaigns are set to expand further, with new spots airing during the first NFL Thursday Night Football game on Amazon Prime, and a unique placement on ESPN.
Two Iconic Campaigns: GEICO Training Camp & Inescapable Caveman
In the first campaign, GEICO Training Camp, we get an inside look at how the Gecko stays at the top of his game. Following up on the Legend of the Lizard, this spot highlights the rigorous training the Gecko undergoes to ensure GEICO delivers its well-known fast, friendly, and award-winning service 24/7.
The commercial underscores the insurance giant’s commitment to customer satisfaction with a 97% rating, emphasizing the easy-to-use, award-winning in-app experience along with the company’s famous savings. Watch below:
The second campaign, Inescapable Caveman, shifts focus to the Caveman, who rose to fame in the early 2000s GEICO commercials. After a long hiatus from the spotlight, the Caveman made a brief return during this year’s Super Bowl.
Now, the campaign delves into his struggles with being constantly associated with GEICO, despite his efforts to step out of the Gecko’s shadow. People love reminding him about GEICO’s exceptional customer service, but the Caveman is growing increasingly frustrated with being tied to the brand, even though he can’t seem to escape its orbit. Pushing the Value Proposition
These campaigns, created in partnership with GEICO’s longtime creative agency, The Martin Agency, reinforce the brand’s promise to deliver more than just great savings. With a 97% customer satisfaction rating and 24/7 friendly service, GEICO aims to show why its value proposition goes beyond basic insurance features.
Rather than hard-selling specific policies, the campaigns focus on the experience — fast, intuitive service through a user-friendly app and a customer-first approach that keeps people coming back.
Both showcase the humor GEICO is famous for, giving audiences a peek behind the curtain at the Gecko’s behind-the-scenes training and the Caveman’s relatable frustrations. Through these lighthearted characters, GEICO continues to prove that insurance can be both engaging and entertaining while emphasizing the value it brings to its customers.
