Applebee’s Grill + Bar has kicked off its inaugural season as the Official Grill + Bar Sponsor of the National Football League (NFL) with an exciting new ad campaign, featuring NFL stars Brock Purdy, quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, and two-time Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley from the Philadelphia Eagles.
The campaign also stars Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, all of whom are part of the “Team Applebee’s” lineup.
This campaign, developed by Grey New York, celebrates the return of football with Applebee’s signature 50 cent Boneless Wings, available for dine-in and To Go, along with the introduction of their new $10 NFL Bucket Cocktails. Watch below:

One of the most exciting parts of the campaign is the eight-part weekly mini-series titled PRE-SEASONING – An Applebee’s Training Camp. This series, airing on Applebee’s social channels, follows Purdy, Barkley, and Coach Campbell as they immerse themselves in the world of Applebee’s, offering a humorous behind-the-scenes glimpse of their training to become part of the Applebee’s team.
The social series captures the NFL stars tackling new challenges as they learn what it takes to serve up Applebee’s famous dishes while entertaining fans with their dynamic personalities and team spirit.
