Shortlists unveiled for 2024 AICP Show, Next Awards, and Post Awards

The prestigious AICP Awards has announced the Shortlists for its three competitions: The AICP Show: The Art & Technique of the Commercial, the AICP Next Awards, and the AICP Post Awards. These Shortlists serve as a precursor to the much-anticipated AICP Week in June, where winners will be revealed and celebrated.

The judging process, which commenced earlier this year, involved expert panels from various global fields nominated by their peers. The Curatorial Committees for each show then finalized the Shortlists, ensuring eligibility and appropriateness to category, while also selecting the Best of Show for each competition.

Ralph Laucella of O Positive, Margaret Johnson of Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and Craig Duncan of Cutters led the curatorial sessions for the AICP Show, Next Awards, and Post Awards respectively.

AICP Show Shortlist Highlights:

  • Leading the pack of production companies is SMUGGLER, with an impressive 26 entries across 22 categories.
  • TBWA emerges as the top agency with 19 Shortlisted entries, followed closely by Apple’s in-house agency with 15.
  • Apple dominates the brand achievements with a staggering 32 Shortlisted entries, showcasing their impactful advertising presence.

AICP Next Awards Shortlist Highlights:

  • Apple leads the Shortlist for brands with 10 entries, followed by AB InBev with eight.
  • FCB’s New York and Chicago offices, Momentum Worldwide, and R/GA’s various offices share the top spot for Shortlisted agencies with 10 entries each.
  • 456 Studios stands out among production companies with 10 Shortlisted entries.

AICP Post Awards Shortlist Highlights:

  • Sound Designer and Audio Mixer Isaac Matus of Wave Studios leads individual artists with five Shortlisted entries.
  • Cabin Editing Company tops aggregate Shortlist honors per post-production company with 14 mentions.
  • TBWA shines again as the leading agency on the Shortlist with 13 mentions.


The Shortlists represent a diverse array of talent and creativity across the advertising and post-production industries. AICP Week promises to be a celebration of innovation and excellence, culminating in a gala event at The Museum of Modern Art on June 6.
