Prettybird has added director Nono Ayuso to its U.S. and U.K. rosters, bringing on a filmmaker known for his cinematic, human-driven storytelling.
Ayuso’s path to directing is anything but traditional. A former investigative journalist and university teacher, he draws on years spent covering conflict zones and exploring complex human stories across the globe. That experience informs a filmmaking style that is precise, immersive, and grounded in authenticity.
Originally from Andalusia, Spain, and now based in London, Ayuso has traveled extensively in pursuit of stories, with work spanning multiple continents and cultures. His global perspective continues to influence both his narrative and commercial projects.
He has directed campaigns for brands including Microsoft, Lexus, Dove, Tate Modern, Yamaha, Nestlé, and Open Bank, earning recognition from awards bodies such as the Clios, ADC, The One Show, British Arrows, and Cannes Young Director Awards. His work has also been featured in outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Nowness.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nono to our global roster,” said Emily Rudge, Managing Director at Prettybird UK. “He has a great talent to embed the human experience into everything he touches, and he is not confined by genre. Having long been an admirer of his work, we are excited to see what work we can develop together.”
“We were immediately drawn to Nono’s honest, cinematic approach to storytelling and the deep humanity that runs through his work,” added Candice Dragonas, VP Talent Strategy and Executive Producer at Prettybird U.S. “He’s a filmmaker shaped by lived experience, and that perspective brings something truly special.”
For Ayuso, the move marks a new chapter alongside a company known for championing distinct creative voices.
“It’s a real honor to join Prettybird’s roster,” he said. “Prettybird represents an incredible level of talent, and the people behind the company are as inspiring as the work itself. I’m very excited for what’s ahead.”
Reel 360 News wishes Nono the best of luck at PRETTYBIRD.
