Dietz & Watson brings Halloween twist with “Frank & Stein’s

As autumn sweeps across the nation, Halloween enthusiasts are in for a treat as Dietz & Watson, a Philly favorite, ushers in the spine-tingling season with their annual dose of Halloween excitement.

This year, they’ve conjured up a ghastly campaign that is sure to make your heart race and your taste buds tingle. Say hello to “Frank & Stein’s.”

Dietz & Watson has teamed up with their trusted partner, Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners(RTO+P), to craft a campaign that’s bound to get you into the Halloween spirit. Building on the success of previous eerie classics like “Gabaghoul” and “SandWitch Sisters,” this year’s spot features sketch comedian Sam Alkhatib and social media influencer Jake Gould as the titular brothers, “Frank” and “Stein.” Together, they run “Frank and Stein’s,” a neighborhood tavern catering to an unusual clientele.

The campaign unfolds through short, “Cheers”-inspired episodic spots. The local “regulars” at Frank & Stein’s, who just happen to be monsters, drop by to escape the demands of their daily lives. Here, they unwind and indulge in Frank & Stein’s daily specials, with the spotlight on Dietz Dogs in all their deliciously spooky glory. To complement these ghoulish gourmet creations, there are frothy steins of beer from Troegs Brewery that promise to leave guests either terrified or utterly satisfied. Watch below:

Steve O’Connell, Co-Chief Creative Officer at RTO+P, expressed the agency’s excitement about this collaboration, stating, “Dietz & Watson is the reigning hot dog champion of Halloween, and this year is no exception. This brand never misses an opportunity to connect with their consumers during spooky season, and we’ll never shy away from a chance to create work that stands out from the crowd.”

Lauren Eni Canseco, Chief of Brand Strategy at Dietz & Watson, also shared her enthusiasm, “At Dietz & Watson, we’ve extended our line of uncured options and are thrilled to showcase them in unexpected ways. RTO+P brought our six flavor varieties a freaky, yet delicious spin that adds elements of nostalgia. Our Dietz Dogs are a meal you can feel good to serve your guests and kids alike this season.”

This chillingly delightful campaign is set to haunt screens across the nation online from October 11th to November 1st. You can catch the eerie videos on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and paid social channels like Reddit, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
