Boo! Dietz & Watson spooks us with SandWitches

SAndwitch
(Lots of hocus pocus here)

Did someone say, “Trick or Treat”?  It’s no trick, but definitely a treat that Dietz & Watson, with over 80 years of history as a purveyor of premium meats & cheeses, is back for more fun this Halloween season, ready to top the fabulous success of last year’s The Gabaghoul.

This year, a captivating trio of witches will combine their powers to portray the “SandWitch Sisters.”

Forget sucking out the souls of children, like the Sanderson Sisters. For this fierce trio it’s all about roast beef stacked high. Or honey baked ham and melted cheddar on a brioche. Or an Italian hoagie layered just right. If it’s a sandwich… It’s their obsession.

Developed by Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners (RTO+P), the SandWitch Sisters are taking their vibe to your favorite social media platforms to share their favorite sandwiches, tips and recipes. They may be witches, but it’s all love with a side of spicy mustard.

Who are the iconic SandWitch Sisters, you ask? The spirited sisters are played by Jaida Essence Hall, Kahmora Hall and DeJa Skye who are all former (& feisty) contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Kahmora is also one of the drag stars in Hocus Pocus 2, which premiered on September 30th.  Watch below:

“We love working with Dietz & Watson, because they’re continually open to explore fresh ways to relate to their consumer, like making Halloween a holiday about sand…witches.” said Steve Red, President & Co-Chief Creative Officer of RTO+P. “Witches are always a hit on Halloween, especially when Hocus Pocus 2 comes out on Disney+. So, if you marry that notion with both client and agency being huge fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the SandWitch Sisters stand out from other typical Halloween stunts.”

The campaign launches nationally online today, October 5th, with paid social. It features 4 videos that will run across paid social including TikTok and Snapchat plus behind the scenes content we’ll release along with a ‘reaction’ video users can duet on TikTok.
