Zulu Alpha Kilo taps Kelly Mikhael as Executive Producer

Kelly Mikhael

Zulu Alpha Kilo has named Kelly Mikhael executive producer in its New York office, effective immediately. The full-service creative company continues to expand its senior leadership as it scales production capabilities and deepens its creative offerings.

Mikhael joins Z.A.K. NY from Johannes Leonardo, where she served as executive producer and led campaigns for major brands including Uber, adidas, Volkswagen, and others. Widely regarded as one of the most respected producers in the U.S., she brings more than a decade of experience producing award-winning work across film, print, social, and digital platforms.

As Z.A.K. NY’s first executive producer, Mikhael will oversee a growing production team while helping elevate the agency’s in-house creative opportunities and continued exploration of A.I.-driven workflows. She will lead production across key client partnerships including Booking.com, Harry’s, and Stonefire, while also playing a central role in new business development and client growth.

“Kelly’s combination of creative thinking, strong commitment to unconventional visual expression, and passion for storytelling made her top of mind for us as we developed this role,” says Tim Gordon, chief creative officer and partner at Z.A.K. NY. “She’s a thoughtful team leader who brings together top creative minds to make work that transcends advertising. We’re excited to have Kelly help shape not only our agency as we expand our production capabilities, but the industry as a whole.”

Throughout her career, Mikhael has produced standout work for brands including Uber, VW, adidas, Gap, Kraft, BMW, Starbucks, and State Farm. Her portfolio includes Kraft’s “La Dolce Velveeta” feature in Vogue, Uber’s Getaway holiday short films that ran theatrically as trailers, and adidas Originals’ recent global campaign introducing Samuel L. Jackson as the brand’s newest “Superstar.” Her work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, Effies, Clios, D&AD, AICP, The One Show, and more.

“I love a beautifully told story,” says Mikhael. “It’s fun figuring out, as a team, the strongest way to visually express an idea. It’s an art form. You’re matchmaking incredibly talented creative minds to shape something that authentically represents a brand and connects with its community. The team at Z.A.K. NY is top-tier. The creative and collaborative energy, ambition, and caliber of client work is outstanding. I’m excited to be part of this team and help build the next chapter of Zulu Alpha Kilo New York.”

Mikhael joins the agency during a period of significant momentum. Z.A.K. recently led The New York Times’ Family Subscription campaign with Eli Manning and his family. In contrast, its global Dove #ChangeTheCompliment campaign earned a perfect 5.9 out of 5.9 rating from System1 for emotional effectiveness and business impact.

The agency’s 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl campaigns for Booking.com, featuring Tina Fey and Miss Piggy respectively, resulted in an expanded global remit that includes a 2026 brand campaign, MLB and NBA sponsorships, brand stewardship, and new B2B responsibilities. Z.A.K. has also relaunched Stonefire Naan in North America and continues its partnership with Global Action on Gun Violence.

Mikhael’s appointment comes as Z.A.K. enters its fourth year in New York amid rapid growth, following the agency’s recent move to the Domino Refinery building in Williamsburg.

Reel 360 News congratulates Kelly on her move to Zulu Alpha Kilo New York. With her track record, this next chapter feels like a natural and exciting fit.
