It’s been a minute since we have talked about Warner BrosBatgirl. Now, the film has had its first test screening and Twitter is abuzz with reactions. What do Bat-fans think about the characters, cameos and Easter eggs?

Nothing too spoilery here. From what the chatter is saying, Batgirl and Michael Keaton’s Batman will work as a team for a good portion of the movie, and will have a “no kill rule.” Nightwing and Black Canary do not appear, despite a poster of the latter being spotted in recent set photos. We’re also hearing that Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman is the Catwoman of this universe.

The ending of the movie reportedly resembles the official concept art that was released last year, and will see Barb don a new Batgirl costume. With Wonder Woman acting as the Tony Stark of the DCEU will it be Gal Gadot?

Here’s what the Twitterverse is saying about Leslie Grace’s Batgirl:

REELated: SPOILERS: Shazam: Fury of the Gods plot leaked

Then there are the not-so-great:

Judging by the responses shared on Twitter, it’s safe to assume that Batgirl will be hitting theaters sometime AFTER The Flash. In April, it was announced that the film may shift from an HBO Max streaming release to a theatrical release, but neither the date, nor where we are expecting to view it have been officially released by Warner Bros.

The film stars Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, J. K. Simmons as James Gordon, Brendan Frasier as Firefly and Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne.

Batgirl is written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life),

It should be noted that Leslie Grace is the first Latinx actress to play Batgirl and the third Latinx actress to join the DC Extended Universe after Sasha Calle in The Flash and Rachel Zegler in Shazam! Fury of the Gods
