The CW launches super new COVID-19 mask campaign

(CW launches new PSA campaign)

Real Heroes Wear Masks. That’s the super clear message of a new CW campaign featuring their pantheon of DC superheroes. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to surge in many parts of the United States, a lot of celebs and public figures have been doing their best to convince as many people as possible to #WearAMask.  Now the CW, preparing to head back into production on The Flash and Superman and Lois, has released a series of public service announcement banners.

The new super campaign comes on the heels of Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot sharing a new BTS shot from the highly anticipated sequel in an effort to convince her fans to mask-up.

The posters feature The Flash, Supergirl, Superman – promoting 2021’s Superman & Lois – Stargirl, Black Lightning, and White Canary and Beebo from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Many of these heroes wear masks already, of course, but these ones cover their nose and mouth, which has proven to be more effective in combatting the spread of COVID-19.

Coronavirus is more widespread in the US than ever before, prompting White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx to say over the weekend the country has entered a “new phase” of the pandemic.

The virus is now hitting urban, suburban and rural areas and has even spread to Americans living on distant islands. Hawaii and Puerto Rico both saw their highest seven-day averages of new daily cases on Monday, per data from Johns Hopkins University.
