TBWA\Chiat\Day has named Lea Mastroberti U.S. CEO, bringing its American teams under one leader as the agency looks to connect talent and specialist capabilities more closely around client needs.
Mastroberti will officially join the agency on October 19, reporting to Erin Riley, Global CEO of TBWA\Worldwide, and will be based in New York.
The move is designed to make it easier for TBWA\Chiat\Day to assemble the right mix of talent and expertise across its U.S. operations regardless of geography, as client briefs become increasingly complex and demand more specialized capabilities.
Mastroberti arrives with more than two decades of agency leadership experience and a track record of building creative businesses and driving growth.
Most recently, she launched and led LePub New York from the ground up. Her previous leadership roles include stints at Droga5, Accenture Song, Grey New York, McCann and 360i. She was named Campaign US Account Person of the Year in 2023.
As U.S. CEO, Mastroberti will work closely with the global TBWA\Worldwide team while helping strengthen the agency’s capabilities in areas including social-first content, design and complex B2B marketing.
“With Disruption as our guiding philosophy, we have long rejected conventional ways of working and focused instead on rallying the best talent to solve our clients’ challenges,” Riley said. “Uniting our offices under one CEO will only further strengthen our ability to deliver on that approach.”

Riley added that Mastroberti brings “all the creative ambition, rigor and humanity that is quintessential Chiat.”
Mastroberti steps into the role during a period of strong creative and new-business momentum for the agency and the broader TBWA Collective.
The network earned half of this year’s Emmy nominations for Outstanding Commercial and ranked among the top three networks at Cannes Lions. Columbia Sportswear’s “Expedition Impossible” was the festival’s most-awarded campaign, while TBWA\Media Arts Lab was named Craft Agency of the Year.
In the U.S., Chiat has also added new business across fashion, retail, CPG and finance, including two wins in the past month.
“What drew me to TBWA\Chiat\Day is its rare combination of a rich creative legacy and a clear commitment to Disruption,” Mastroberti said. “I’ve spent my career embracing change, and I’m excited to build on what has always made the agency special while helping shape what it needs to become next.”
Her mandate is straightforward but sizable: keep the creative momentum moving while making TBWA\Chiat\Day’s U.S. operation more connected, agile and easier for clients to navigate.
For an agency built around disruption, the latest move is as much about structure as leadership. REEL 360 News wishes Lea the best of luck.
