Rethink has promoted Nicole Rajesky to Partner and Head of Strategy for New York, making her the first person to hold the role in the agency’s expanding New York office.

Rajesky, previously Partner and Group Strategy Director, will report to Sean McDonald, Partner and Global Chief Strategy Officer. In the new role, she will lead the New York strategy department, oversee its continued growth and development, and work across clients including Kraft Heinz, WhatsApp, Meta, KAYAK and Netflix.

Jon Cook to leave WPP as Eric Campbell preps to take VML reins

The promotion comes as Rethink continues to build out its New York presence. Over the past year, the office has nearly doubled in size in response to increased market demand.

“Nicole is as relentless as she is special. She has helped to define the nature and style of our strategic approach and consistently sets the standard within Rethink and the broader industry,” McDonald said. “I can’t imagine this group without her.”

Rajesky joined Rethink in 2020 as a Senior Strategist and has risen through the agency over the past six years. Before joining Rethink, she held strategy roles at No Fixed Address, VICE Media and DDB.

“My goal is to make strategy a true competitive advantage for the agency and create the conditions for us to do work that feels undeniably, unmistakably Rethink,” Rajesky said.

She added that one of the things that has kept her at the agency is its “healthy impatience with the obvious answer” and its push to find more unexpected ways forward.

As part of the broader evolution of Rethink’s strategy leadership, Asher Stamell has also been promoted to Group Strategy Director, succeeding Rajesky in that role.

Rajesky begins her new position immediately. REEL 360 News wishes Nicole the best of luck in her new role.
