Following the success of last year’s emotional tale featuring a 1957 Chevy Bel Air Nomad station wagon, the automotive giant is maintaining its tradition of storytelling that goes beyond the vehicles themselves.

In 2021, Chevrolet captured hearts with a narrative centered around a woman who, after the loss of her husband in the Vietnam War, found solace and community among her neighbors through the shared connection of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air Nomad station wagon. The campaign emphasized the power of human connection and the role that Chevrolet vehicles play in fostering a sense of community.

In the heartwarming story, viewers are taken on a journey during the holiday eve as a woman endeavors to gift her grandmother, suffering from Alzheimer’s, the forgotten memories of holidays past. Set against the backdrop of a classic 1972 Chevrolet Suburban and accompanied by the timeless melodies of John Denver’s Sunshine on My Shoulders, the spot promises to evoke nostalgia and strike a chord with audiences. Chevrolet’s Chief Marketing Officer, Steve Majoros, emphasized the universal nature of the narrative, illustrating how powerful memories can be, especially when created together in a Chevrolet. “This is a universal story about how powerful memories can be, especially those created together in a Chevrolet. We feel a sense of honor and responsibility when given the opportunity to bring these stories to life each holiday season. They convey principles core to Chevrolet: community, belonging and family,”

“Chevrolets are an inextricable part of many of our memories and life events, and we hope this holiday story brings people together during this special time of the year,” Majoros added.

The campaign tenderly and authentically encourages viewers to reflect on the significance of memories made and shared, with the classic Chevrolet Suburban serving as the conduit for these cherished moments. The emotional resonance of the narrative is further heightened by the choice of the Denver track, adding a timeless and nostalgic dimension to the storytelling.

As the holiday season approaches, Chevrolet invites audiences to once again experience the emotional depth of its storytelling. The brand continues to reinforce its values of community, belonging, and family, making these holiday campaigns an integral part of the festive tradition.
