Step into ‘The Mamba Room’ with new Kobe Bryant app

(New app for Kobe Bryant’s memory)

Although Kobe Bryant Day may have passed, doesn’t mean he isn’t on our minds every day. The Mamba Room, an app that lets you step directly in a virtual room filled with the basketball legend’s greatest moments in history, allows you to experience moments like his last game over and over again.

Toye Onikoyi, founder of Muse Interactive, created this app in less than one day. After declaring August 24th Kobe Bryant Day, he celebrated by creating The Mamba Room. A software engineer by day and creative by night, Toye strives to bring empathy in all his creations.

Onikoyi uses the Kendrick Lamar voiceover from the recent Nike “Mamba Mentality” spot and fills each “room” with photos plastered on the purple wall with Kobe’s quotes below each image. True Kobe fans should expect to get emotional when bringing The Mamba Room into whatever setting they’re in.

“When creating The Mamba Room, I was really trying to capture Kobe’s greatest moments. He has been my inspiration since I was a kid – from his moment getting drafted straight out of high school, to winning his 5th NBA championship, Kobe fans around the world are able to step in to The Mamba Room and be with Kobe once again,” he tells Reel 360.
