She Should Run, BBDO launch “Change is Her(e)”

(BBDO, She Should Run launch inspiring campaign)

Fresh off the heels of last week’s inauguration, where we witnessed history as the first female Vice President was sworn into office, She Should Run is launching its newest campaign titled “Change Is Her(e).”

The time has ever been better to rally support for the nonpartisan, nonprofit, working to dramatically increase the number of women considering a run for public office and to improve the diversity of our female candidates.

Though we’ve come a long way over the years, women are still less likely to run for public office—currently making up for less than a third of our representatives, despite accounting for half of the U.S. population. A large reason for this is that many women don’t consider themselves qualified – even though `that couldn’t be further from the truth. “Change Is Her(e)” aims to solve that.

Created in partnership with our friends at BBDO New York, the new campaign targets women who already contribute to the wellness of their communities, dedicating their time to bring change around them. By highlighting their accomplishments, the work aims to inspire such women to run for public office—because anyone who cares enough about others and society has what it takes to run.

The campaign includes a series of films featuring real life activists which you can view here.:https://www.sheshouldrun.org/changeisher/

“The message behind the powerful Change is Her(e) campaign is to celebrate a diverse set of women who have impacted lives around them, with the intent to help them discover why they should run for office,” Erin Loos Cutraro, CEO and Founder of She Should Run, told Reel 360.

Loos Cutraro added, “We will amplify the campaign in the weeks for and months ahead to continue to connect with historically underrepresented women and encourage them to think about running for office, ultimately shifting the culture and expectations around qualifications for public office.”

A social media UGC campaign launches concurrently, featuring the help of influencers  to get people to nominate the female change-makers around them.

The spots are simply genuine and inspiring, making them REEL AD OF THE WEEK
