Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, Hugh Grant join Seinfeld’s Pop-Tart comedy

Melissa McCarthy (God’s Favorite Idiot), Amy Schumer (Life and Beth) and Hugh Grant (The Undoing) have joined the cast of the Netflix comedy feature Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story from Jerry Seinfeld

They round out an all-star cast that includes Jim Gaffigan(Linoleum), James Marsden (Sonic 2), Jack McBrayer (Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show), Tom Lennon (Reno 911!), Adrian Martinez (iGilbert), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood), Christian Slater (Dr. Death) and Sarah Cooper (Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine).

The Netflix Pop-Tart film takes place in Michigan, 1963. Kellogg’s and Post, sworn cereal rivals, race to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast forever. It’s described as a “tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen.”

Seinfeld will direct and produce from a script written by himself, Spike Feresten, Andy Robin & Barry Marder. The film is produced by Spike Feresten, Beau Bauman and Executive Produced by Cherylanne Martin, Andy Robin and Barry Marder.
