The Old Guard is one of Netflix’s most popular films, with 186 million hours viewed in its first 28 days of release.
Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, the film focuses on a group of mercenaries, led by Charlize Theron, who in actuality are centuries-old immortals with the ability to heal themselves. When they discover someone is onto their secret, and they fight to protect their freedom.
Now Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) and Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) will join the cast of the sequel to action film. Thurman and Golding to join previously announced returning cast from the original film Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Victoria Mahoney will direct from a screenplay by Greg Rucka, who co-wrote the graphic novel series with Leandro Fernández.
Producers for The Old Guard include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance; Charlize Theron, Beth Kono and AJ Dix for Denver and Delilah; Marc Evans for Marc Evans Productions; and Gina Prince-Bythewood.
Rucka will executive produce.
