The cold open for the latest episode of SNL took an unexpected and naughty detour from its usual political satire, opting instead for a memorable reunion between Ryan Gosling and Kate McKinnon.
The two, alongside Sarah Sherman, reprised their roles from a beloved alien abduction sketch originally performed in 2015, much to the delight of fans.
In the sketch, the three portrayed a trio of campers being questioned by authorities after allegedly being abducted by aliens. Sporting the same outfit from the previous sketch, Gosling quipped about his attire, adding to the nostalgic charm of the reunion.
As the characters recounted their bizarre experiences with extraterrestrials, hilarity ensued as McKinnon’s character, Colleen, shared her own outrageous encounter, complete with colorful descriptions and comedic flair. “I was by the lake, taking a whore bath… They’re staring down the barrel of my south mouth!” Gosling struggled to maintain composure throughout the sketch, adding to its comedic brilliance.
