Picture North signs award-winning editor Chris Amos

Chris Amos

Boutique production and post-production company Picture North has added award-winning editor Chris Amos to its growing roster, bringing with him a body of work that spans commercials, documentaries, comedy specials, and long-form storytelling.

Known for his versatility and filmmaker-first approach, Amos grounds his edits in the emotional and environmental reality of each project. His process is collaborative and adaptive, allowing him to move seamlessly across tone and format, from character-driven documentaries to sharp, performance-led comedy and high-profile brand work.

Amos is the editor behind Squarespace’s “Make It,” directed by Spike Jonze and starring Idris Elba and Lolly Adefope, a spot that earned major recognition, including an AICP Award for Humor & Performance, AICP Next for Viral/Web Film, a Webby, and a D&AD Wood Pencil. He also cut “Dear Glenn” for Yamaha, the Cannes Silver Lion–winning documentary that explores AI and the revival of pianist Glenn Gould’s artistry.

His commercial portfolio includes work for Hanes, Dick’s Sporting Goods, GMC, Meta, Samsung, Planet Fitness, IKEA, Converse, Google, the NBA, Sony, Patagonia, and King’s Hawaiian, among others. On the long-form side, Amos has edited acclaimed comedy specials such as Bo Burnham’s Make Happy and Hannibal Buress’ Comedy Camisado for Netflix, as well as Jerrod Carmichael’s 8 for HBO. His feature documentary work includes Songs About F—ing, which screened at the Tribeca Film Festival.

“It was a full-circle moment,” said Amos of joining Picture North. “After working in the industry for many years, I realized that all of the work I enjoyed the most, and that also happened to be my best work, was done with my friends. I’ve known Ryan and Martin since college, so it felt like the right time to come back together and keep that momentum going.”

Martin Rodahl, executive producer and founder of Picture North, echoed the sentiment. “Chris brings both breadth and specialization, which is rare. Since our days at Northwestern University, he’s built a reel that not only aligns with where we are creatively but also pushes us toward where we want to go. His energy is infectious, and we’re proud to welcome him to the Picture North family.”

With Amos joining the roster, Picture North continues to deepen its editorial bench, reinforcing its commitment to craft-driven storytelling across every format.

Reel 360 News wishes Chris the best of luck at Picture North.
