New Era is bringing Formula 1 style off the grid with TEAM FIFTY5, a new headwear and apparel collection created with Carlos Sainz.
The Fall/Holiday 2026 collection extends the identity of Sainz’s TEAM FIFTY5 community beyond the racetrack, blending understated motorsport influences with European style and New Era’s sportswear heritage.
The debut lineup includes caps, hoodies and T-shirts in a palette of outdoor green, off-white, white, faded blue and red, with select pieces featuring embroidery and woven details inspired by Sainz’s “Chili” nickname.
That includes a red chili pepper icon, which has become a visual marker for the TEAM FIFTY5 community.
A standout yellow 9FORTY cap with red detailing was created specifically with fans attending the TEAM FIFTY5 Grandstand at Sainz’s home race in Madrid in mind. The design references both one of the driver’s favorite colors and the yellow found in the Spanish flag.
The broader headwear collection includes New Era’s 9TWENTY and 9FORTY A-Frame silhouettes, while apparel ranges from relaxed and oversized T-shirts and hoodies to slim and cropped women’s tees. Look below:

“TEAM FIFTY5 is part of who I am since the beginning of my career,” said Sainz, Atlassian Williams F1 Team driver and TEAM FIFTY5 founder.
He adds, “Together with my personal team and with my fans, we have built a community of shared experiences and values, and it’s time to expand it, at the track and beyond.”
Sainz said the goal was to create pieces that felt authentic to the TEAM FIFTY5 identity while still working as everyday clothing.
“New Era understands the connection between sport, culture and personal style, and I’m proud of what we have created together,” he added.
Patrik Söderström, New Era VP EMEA, called the collaboration a natural intersection of motorsport and contemporary lifestyle. “Working closely with Carlos and his team, we have created a collection that feels personal and distinctive while remaining true to New Era’s heritage in headwear, sport and culture,” Söderström said.
Sainz and members of his team also star in the collection’s launch campaign, photographed in Mallorca during Formula 1’s summer break rather than at the track.
The setting reinforces the larger idea behind the collaboration: TEAM FIFTY5 isn’t intended to live only on race weekends.
The collection will be available through New Era and Sainz’s online channels, at New Era’s Madrid store and through select retail partners.
