New Chevy Bolt work promotes life changes

What’s a little battery fire anyway? Apparently, General Motors has not parked the Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV compact cars for good, following a highly publicized battery fire recall that forced it to halt production and sales.

According to Reuters and GM Authority, the automaker is committed to both electric cars and has turned to AOR Commonwealth//McCann to create two new humorous spots for the Chevy Bolt EUV.

The first spot features a technician showing an expectant mother how to use the home charger on her Chevy Bolt EUV. When the expectant mother says she hopes being a mom is as easy, the female technician laughs as to offer comfort and then says, “It’s not.” Watch below:

In the second spot, a Chevy Bolt EUV owner taking a phone call from his very talkative mom while driving, his mom goes on and on and on … Just like the Bolt EUV’s all-electric range. The Bolt EUV can travel up to 247 miles on a full charge.

Chevy marketing boss Steve Majoros told Reuters the major campaign will give the Bolt the nameplate the second-highest media spend at Chevy in 2022, behind only the Chevy Silverado pickup. Majoros also predicted Bolt sales will reach a record high this year, topping the previous high of 23,297 units sold back in 2017.

Chevrolet makes things easy by covering the cost of standard installation of Level 2 home charging capability for eligible customers who buy or lease a 2022 Bolt EUV or Bolt EV.

The two spots will debut this week during television coverage for Major League Baseball’s opening day games.
