Matt Reeves posts 1st look at Robert Pattinson as Batman

With apologies to our amazing publisher, Barbara L. Roche, this article will probably break The Reel 360 server. With filming well underway on the new Warner Bros film, The Batman, director Matt Reeves has decided to get ahead of the internet leaks and has posted a new video of actor Robert Pattinson dressed as the titular character.

The new suit does cause the Geek to gleefully dance around his apartment in his Batman underoos.

The 55-second camera test, which offers Daredevil vibes with its deep red highlights, doesn’t give away all of the intricacies about about the new suit. We want to see those glowing white eyes damnit. But the test does deliver a good look at the chest armor with a new logo and a damn amazing shot of Pattinson wearing the cowl. The bat on the chest almost looks like Pattinson could rip it off and use it as a weapon. Combine that with possibly an early preview of Michael Giacchino’s score…. have a look yourself!

Plot details are under wraps for now, but the film is rumored to be a loose adaptation of the popular DC Comics Batman story The Long Halloween.

Reeves’ behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-nominated director of photography Greig Fraser (“Lion,” upcoming “Dune”); his “Planet of the Apes” production designer, James Chinlund; editors William Hoy (the “Planet of the Apes” films) and Tyler Nelson (“Rememory”); Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Dan Lemmon (“The Jungle Book”); Oscar-nominated SFX supervisor Dominic Tuohy (“1917,” “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”); Oscar-nominated sound mixer Stuart Wilson (“1917,” the “Star Wars” franchise); Oscar-winning costume designer Jacqueline Durran (“1917,” “Little Women,” “Anna Karenina”) and costume designers Glyn Dillon (the “Star Wars” franchise) and David Crossman (“1917,” the “Star Wars” franchise); hair designer Zoe Tahir (upcoming “No Time to Die,” “Spectre”); and Oscar-nominated makeup designer Naomi Donne (“1917”).
