(Stein joins Today I’m Brave as new CEO)

David Angelo, founder and creative chairman of David&Goliath and founder of global nonprofit organization Today, I’m Brave (TIB) announced the appointment of Lindsay Stein as Chief Executive Officer of TIB. As CEO, Stein will act as a liaison between the board of directors and managers of TIB.

Stein’s responsibilities will include the elevation and growth of the nonprofit through fostering new relationships with collaborators, development of content creation and expanding fundraising initiatives to support and spearhead social good projects around the world.

“Today, I’m Brave started as a heart-centered movement to inspire a small town in Sierra Leone with 300 children who were up against Ebola. Their response was so moving, we sought out to keep inspiring all over the world. Since Today, I’m Brave’s inception in 2016, our nonprofit has celebrated true bravery globally, while creating a new model for philanthropy, inspiration and sustainability,” noted Angelo.

Founded in 2016, Today, I’m Brave is a global nonprofit dedicated to unlocking bravery in the lives of others and inspiring true social change in the world. It began in a small village in Sierra Leone to help 300 children who were up against the Ebola crisis. Working closely with founder of Shine on Sierra Leone, Tiffany Persons, Today, I’m Brave created an educational curriculum and mantra that helped inspire bravery among the orphans and transformed their school. From this initiative, Today, I’m Brave grew into a global nonprofit which continues to inspire bravery by sharing brave stories and supporting brave causes around the world.

Angelo added, “It’s a movement that helps unlock the bravery in all of us and helps create the change our world so desperately needs. Finding a leader who not only believes in the power of bravery, but also the power of humanity and altruism, was the criteria we used to find the right person. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Lindsay Stein over the past 6 years and was always impressed with her inspiring creativity, her positive attitude and willingness to make the world a better place for all. We are so fortunate to have her as Today, I’m Brave’s first CEO and are excited about the opportunity to help even more people and organizations in the world unlock their bravery.”

Stein joins TIB from Campaign Magazine, the world’s largest advertising trade publication, as U.S. editor for several years where she worked to elevate and celebrate the industry, while also holding it accountable for doing good work in the right way. During her time at Campaign, she launched the Female Frontier Awards and Power of Purpose Awards, while expanding and evolving the Inclusivity and Creativity Awards and 40 Over 40.

Before Campaign, she was a reporter at Ad Age for three years, where she honed her expertise specifically in the area of creativity, marketing and media. Prior to that, she spent five years at PRWeek, covering consumer marketing and communications.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Today, I’m Brave and help take it to all new levels. Today, I’m Brave is more than a non-profit with a mission statement. It’s a movement and a frame of mind, and its core has been built on passion, perseverance and positivity,” said Stein, adding, “David Angelo is a force of nature, and he’s just as dedicated and loyal as he is creative and pioneering. I’m honored to work together to help make necessary changes in the advertising and marketing industry, as well as the world at large, through TIB initiatives. At the end of the day, if all of us – companies, agencies, organizations and individuals – focus less on fear, we’ll be able to come together to overcome obstacles, break barriers and make the world a braver place.”

As a journalist covering advertising and marketing for a decade, Stein has broken major industry stories, written features on important topics like gender inequality in adland and questionable marketing practices, and has been a fierce champion for creativity, diversity, progress and rising stars.

Stein officially starts her new role at Today, I’m Brave on August 3rd
