Laundry has named Keenan Hemje executive producer, expanding the company’s presence across the San Francisco Bay Area and Pacific Northwest.
Hemje joins the full-service production and animation studio after spending more than a decade as Head of Production at San Francisco agency Duncan Channon. In his new role, he will oversee incoming business from Northern California through Seattle, reporting directly to CEO and Managing Director James Sweigert.
“Keenan is a big get for Laundry ,” said Sweigert. “He is well known and even more well-liked and has a deep and thorough understanding of all the disciplines of production we specialize in. Heck, he was a long-time client and then wanted to work for us. There isn’t a better compliment.”
Executive Creative Director PJ Richardson emphasized both Hemje’s production experience and collaborative approach.
“We’re so excited to welcome Keenan to the team,” Richardson said. “His wealth of experience, combined with his genuine passion for the work, brings both expertise and heart to everything he does. Keenan’s personal touch will make our staff and clients feel right at home, and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have here at Laundry.”
Executive Director of Operations and Finance Troy Moore added that Hemje’s deep client relationships and reputation across the industry made him a natural fit for the company’s next phase of growth.
“Keenan is a fantastic addition to the team,” Moore noted “His energy and proven track record with brands and clients such as eBay, Walmart, Clorox, Anheuser-Busch, Kona Brewing, Ferrara Candy, Danone, DriveTime, Rosetta Stone, Horizon Organic, Golden State Warriors, Covered California and The California Department of Public Health, along with his kind and friendly approach, will make a significant impact.”
Laundry has built a reputation across live-action production, design, animation, VFX, editorial, and post-production, with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Congrats and best of luck to Keenan on the new gig.
