Kia America is set to make a splash at the Super Bowl next month with a 60-second spot from David&Goliath showcasing their all-new, all-electric EV9 flagship SUV.

Known for its award-winning creative campaigns, Kia aims to reinforce its position as a leader in sustainable mobility. This marks the 15th appearance for Kia at the highly anticipated annual television event.

The spotlight of this year’s campaign will be on the 2024 Kia EV9, positioned as the first mass-market three-row EV SUV in the U.S. Currently on sale with limited inventory, the EV9 boasts features that set it apart. Serving as the flagship of Kia’s global Plan S strategy, it is the first Kia EV to support both Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) with an onboard power generator and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities. The campaign suggests that in the future, the 2024 EV9 could revolutionize bidirectional charging for appropriately equipped homes.

Recently named the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year by the North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) jury, the EV9 continues Kia’s success streak. This recognition marks the third occasion in five years that a Kia vehicle has been the jury’s top choice in its category, and the second win for a Kia electric vehicle. Furthermore, Kia plans to assemble the EV9 in the U.S. later this year at its manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia.

Last year’s Super Bowl campaign by Kia featured a 360 adventure-themed 60-second spot directed by acclaimed film director Dante Ariola. The ad followed the journey of “Binky Dad” in his Telluride X-Pro as he embarked on a thrilling quest. This year’s campaign, set to the iconic and uplifting theme from Rocky, Gonna Fly Now, promises a story of grit and determination, aligning with Kia’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. The spot also made our Top Campaigns of 2023 List.

With the Super Bowl campaign highlighting the EV9’s cutting-edge features and Kia’s dedication to electric vehicle technology, the company aims to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression on the biggest television stage of the year.

Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024. It will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon. Usher will perform at halftime.
