The Wisconsin Advertising Hall of Fame will officially induct visionary Hanson Dodge founder, Ken Hanson, and writer, professor, and creative director, Dave Hanneken

Considered Wisconsin advertising’s highest honor, both inductees were unanimously chosen for their indelible impact on the advertising industry and their service to the community throughout their careers.

Former CEO, Ken Hanson helped build Hanson Dodge, which was recently recognized by Ad Age as a Midwest Small Agency of the Year, into a nationally-renowned design shop. He also helped found the AIGA Wisconsin Chapter, shining a national spotlight on the local design community. And as the founder of the non-profit organization, Greater Together, Hanson continues his work to improve the lack of diversity in our creative industry.

REELated:

Dave Hanneken’s impact on Milwaukee advertising is legendary. As an award-winning writer and creative director at Hoffman-York and co-founder of the agency Kohnke-Hanneken, his award-winning advertising work spans three decades. As a long-running adjunct professor of advertising for Marquette University, and one of the founding members of the United Adworkers, Dave has spent his career mentoring future generations of creative talent.

The Wisconsin Advertising Hall of Fame, which was established in 2012, honors the achievements and preserves the work of Wisconsin’s greatest advertising and design professionals.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Harley-Davidson Museum as a part of The 99, the annual awards show hosted by United Adworkers. The 99 honors the best advertising work crafted in Wisconsin. Doors to the event open at 5:30 pm. 500 people are expected to be in attendance.
