(DC Fandome is Saturday Oct 16)

If you’re a DC Fan, and I am, there’s only one thing that you will be doing this weekend and that is attending the online event of the year – DC FanDome.

Having launched last year during quarantine, it is like a Comic-Con specifically for DC fanboys and fangirls, promising trailers, news and first-look previews of upcoming adventures for BatmanSuperman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, the Flash, Peacemaker and quite possibly another Batman too.

The action begins Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/6 p.m. It’s here we will get the inside scoop on upcoming DC movies, TV series and video games.

What Movies, TV Series and Games will we see?

Let’s start with the movies. Anticipation is running faster than the Flash to get a peek at well, The Flash starring Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. While it’s technically a solo adventure for Barry Allen, we will have the two Batmans in there. Kinda like Two Popes. Not really, but hey. We may not see a trailer, but then again we may. We definitely will see some sort of footage.

Aaaand fans will definitely get a look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the antihero Black Adam. Just a few days ago, Johnson released a look at his suit as well as Hawkman’s suit and helmet on Twitter. The pics have since been taken down.

After filming all summer, we are most assuredly going to see something from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the new sequel with Jason Momoa and Amber Heard.

But let’s be real. What are we really waiting for? The second trailer for Matt ReevesThe Batman. We haven’t seen anything since the first trailer debuted at FanDome last year. Director Reeves did release a tease of the film starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz and Colin Farrell. A tweet went out letting us get a sample of Robert Battinson.

Warner Bros also released two new posters:

REELated: Aaaaaah! It’s the bloody new Scream 5 trailer

What about the small screen, errr if you consider 75″ small

Regarding DC TV, we will most likely learn what’s ahead for the heroes of the CW Arrowverse. Look out for new seasons of Batwoman, The Flash, and the fantastic Superman & Lois. You’ll also get your first look at Naomi, produced by Ava DuVernay. We will also hope to hear about the upcoming Green Lantern Corps on HBO Max as well as renewal news for Titans and the Emmy-nominated Doom Patrol.

For fans of James Gunn and The Suicide Squad, we’re likely to see a full trailer for HBO Max series Peacemaker, coming in January.

Animation and Video Games

On the animation side, DC and Warner Bros. are showing off new series Batman: Caped Crusader, limited series Aquaman: King of Atlantis, and season 3 of the hilarious adult animated comedy series Harley Quinn. There’s also likely to be more of a look at an animated Injustice (based on the popular video game) ahead of its Oct. 18 release date.

As for video games, we’ll get another look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which was previewed at last year’s FanDome from Batman: Arkham developer Rocksteady Games. Hopefully, we will get another look at Gotham Knights.

Sure is a good time to be a DC Fan.
