Get ready to Scream during Super Bowl

When the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, there will be lots of yelling and crying. And we ain’t just talking about the game. Paramount and Spyglass Entertainment have released a new 55-second trailer for Scream 6.

The trailer starts off with a terrified Tara Carpenter trapped in an apartment building with friends (Melissa Barrera) and Ghostface threatening to come in. Once he (or she or they) does enter, all hell breaks loose as the group tries to escape. There’s a tense scene as the group crawls between buildings on an extension ladder. Didn’t we see that in Nerve?

The group then discovers a shrine to other Ghostfaces as Hayden Panettiere’s Kirby Reed points out this Ghostface is different from the others. Watch below:

Along with the unveiling of this trailer comes the announcement that Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group will be holding a special 3D Fan Event Screening of Scream 6 on Thursday, March 9th!

Directed by Scream 2022’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Scream 2022 writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, Scream 6 stars returning Scream 2022 stars Melissa Barrera (as Samantha Carpenter), Jenna Ortega (as Samantha’s sister Tara Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (as Mindy Meeks-Martin), and Mason Gooding (as Mindy’s brother Chad Meeks-Martin), returning Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere (as Kirby Reed), franchise regular Courteney Cox (as Gale Weathers), and franchise newcomers Jack Champion as Ethan, Liana Liberato as Quinn, Devyn Nekoda as Anika, Josh Segarra as Danny, Samara Weaving as Laura, Tony Revolori as Jason, and Dermot Mulroney as Detective Bailey. Henry Czerny is also in the cast, in an unspecified role. Neve Campbell was asked to reprise the role of franchise heroine Sidney Prescott in Scream 6, but passed on it due to a pay dispute.

Vanderbilt is producing Scream 6 with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak for Project X Entertainment. Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Willamson serves as executive producer alongside Chad Villella, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.

The Super Bowl, featuring The Philadelphia Eagles vs. The Kansas City Chiefs, will kick off Sunday, February 12 at 6:30 EST/5:30 CST/3:30 PST.
