Global digital media company, Generation Iron, which specializes in health, fitness, bodybuilding, and strength sports, has secured the distribution rights for the highly anticipated documentary Gaspari.
Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Frank Zarrillo, Gaspari is the first authorized biography to chronicle the legendary bodybuilder Rich Gaspari’s remarkable life journey. The documentary is set to premiere on November 3, 2023, in all English-speaking territories on streaming platforms, including Amazon, Vudu, and Google Play.

He expects Gaspari to be well-received by audiences worldwide, drawing parallels to director Zarrillo’s previous feature, The Wrestler: A Q.T. Marshall.

Gaspari commented on the documentary, saying, “The documentary that was done about me really showed my passion as a bodybuilder, as an entrepreneur… and it also showed me a ‘never give up’ attitude that I believe in… and that’s my mantra in life.”
Gaspari’s journey into bodybuilding began during his teenage years when he discovered his passion for weightlifting and fitness. Inspired by bodybuilding legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu, he set his sights on becoming a professional bodybuilder.
His relentless dedication led to numerous victories during the 1980s and 1990s, including the prestigious IFBB Mr. Olympia, the inaugural Arnold Classic, and titles such as the Grand Prix Spain, Grand Prix Germany, and Night of Champions.
In 1998, Rich Gaspari transitioned into the sports nutrition industry by founding Gaspari Nutrition, a company that became a dominant force in providing high-quality supplements to fitness enthusiasts and athletes. His influence extended to coaching and mentoring numerous aspiring bodybuilders worldwide.
Frank Zarrillo, an award-winning filmmaker, wrote and directed his first films at the age of 13. His passion for cinema led to the creation of his own films while working in the entertainment industry. His first feature documentary, The Wrestler: A Q.T. Marshall Story, received the Best Documentary award at the Comic-Con International Film Festival in 2017. Zarrillo is the founder and CEO of Big F Pictures.
