Bud Light returns to humor for Super Bowl spot

The heyday of Bud Light has always been synonymous with humor and laughs. Now after a controversial year that also saw its market share sink the “Official Beer Sponsor of the NFL,” is set to make fans and viewers laugh again.

Promising an “Easy Night Out” for fans aged 21 and over, the commercial features a star-studded cast including NFL legend Peyton Manning, chart-topping artist Post Malone, and UFC CEO Dana White.

“This year, we’re unleashing the Bud Light Genie and all his magic on Super Bowl LVIII, just in time for NFL fans to crack open a Bud Light and join in on the fun of an ‘Easy Night Out’,” said Todd Allen, Vice President of Marketing.

The commercial, created by Anomaly, follows a group of friends who encounter the Bud Light Genie after releasing him from a bottle of Bud Light in their fridge. The genie grants easy wishes, transforming a mundane night out into a series of unforgettable adventures. From riding to the bar in a stretch DeLorean to hosting an epic backyard concert with Post Malone, the Bud Light Genie ensures a night filled with surprises and excitement. Watch below:



Post Malone expressed his excitement about being part of the commercial, stating, “We created something truly epic and pretty damn funny together that I know the fans will love.”

NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning shared his thoughts, saying, “We had a lot of fun making this commercial, and I’m sure a lot of people are going to be thinking through what they would wish for if they were lucky enough to meet the Bud Light Genie.”

UFC CEO Dana White added, “Anheuser-Busch and the Super Bowl are two of the biggest American brands in the world. The cast, the director and Peyton were fun to work with, and it was such an incredible way to kick off my new partnership with AB and Bud Light.”

To extend the magic to fans nationwide, the beer will grant “Easy Wishes” leading up to Super Bowl LVIII, offering the chance to win an epic Las Vegas getaway, beer money, and more. Additionally, fans can anticipate winning tickets to events across the brand’s passion points, including March hoops, UFC, NFL, and more.

Bud Light is also set to kick off Super Bowl LVIII weekend celebrations in Las Vegas with ‘The Bud Light Backyard Tour Presents Zach Bryan,’ featuring performances by Grammy-winning artists Zach Bryan and Leon Bridges at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on February 9.

Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024. It will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon. Usher will perform at halftime.
