Batfleck teams up with Ice Spice in Dunkin’ ad

Sorry, Affleck. Some habits are hard to break. Former Batman, the best Batman, Ben Affleck, is back for his third Dunkin’ appearance this year, and this time, he’s joined by Hip-Hop artist Ice Spice in a fresh :30-second commercial.

Affleck first made his debut for the brand during the Super Bowl in an ad featuring his wife, Jennifer Lopez, followed by a self-effacing appearance in the spring.

In this latest creative, Affleck and the musical performer promote a new frozen drink just in time for the pumpkin season. The beverage combines coffee with pumpkin Munchkins, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle, with actual Munchkin bits in the mix–pre-dunked for added flavor.

Throughout the TVC, Affleck’s “Baahston” accent is on full display as he enthusiastically embraces his role as “brand ambassadaah.” When he suggests calling the drink “Vanilla Ice Spice,” his rapper pal Ice Spice appeals to a younger demographic, leading to the final name choice of “Ice Spice Munchkins.” Watch below:

Additionally, Affleck surprised the cast and crew by presenting them with an Ice Spice figurine made entirely of Munchkins. Brand CMO Jill McVicar Nelson described the reaction as “one of many authentic moments.”

Dunkin’ is known for its efforts to keep its brand fresh and engaging for fans, and Ice Spice’s inclusion in this campaign adds a unique and colorful touch.

Ben and Ice Spice make a dynamic duo, with Affleck bringing his signature sense of humor to the role.

Although Leo Burnett Chicago is the Agency of Record, this ad was conceived and produced by Affleck’s production house, Artists Equity, and it was unveiled during the MTV Video Music Awards.
