If you don’t know what we’re talking about, let us introduce you to the About Damn Time dance. It’s currently trending hot on TikTok and IG Reels. It’s based on the infectious Lizzo song of the summer, About Damn Time.
Lizzo dropped the song on SNL during her musical performance last month. The bass thumps. The drums are on point. The vocals are delicious and fun. It’s honestly one of the best dance songs since Beyonce released Crazy in Love years ago. You can’t help but move to its catchy and retro beat. Watch Lizzo’s performance below:
After the song’s debut, creator Jaeden Gomez choreographed a dance for the song. He wisely set the dance to the song’s second verse while incorporating some voguing and classic TikTok moves. Below are those infectious lyrics:

According to Rolling Stone, About Damn Time is rocketing up the charts, breaking into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week. With the constant deluge of tragedies, bad news and stupidity here in the United States and abroad, Lizzo’s song and this TikTok challenge may be just what we need. I may or may not go do my IG Reel now.
