This drama, which originally commenced filming in 1985 but remained unreleased, has been meticulously reimagined and brought to fruition by TGA Productions and Cedar Films Studios, complete with an additional storyline filmed in 2022. The film is skillfully co-directed by D. Paul Thomas and Eric Rafael Ibarra.

D. Paul Thomas shared his thoughts on this unique cinematic journey, stating, “If you live long enough, you see nearly everything. Who would have thought that a movie filmed in 1985 that never saw the light of day, with lovely performances by Michael Moriarty and Louise Caire Clark, would be ‘reimagined’ by filmmaker Peter J. Bollinger and brought to the screen now? A special shout-out to Dr. Sam Mayhugh, who shepherded the entire project through to a successful conclusion, and to the splendid ensemble in the original film.”

Co-director Eric Rafael Ibarra reflected on the project, saying, “What fun it’s been working on this unique project—taking a movie filmed previously and adding to it an additional storyline. Putting the two storylines together has been a fascinating and challenging process.” Ibarra expressed his gratitude to the various contributors who helped bring this one-of-a-kind movie to life.

The film also features an exceptional ensemble cast, including actors Gary Bayer, Macon McCalman, Peter Von Berg (known for his roles in Cast Away, Rollerball, and Bad Company), and the late Jack Nance, renowned for his starring roles in David Lynch’s Eraserhead and Blue Velvet.

Director, writer, actor, and producer Thomas has an extensive portfolio, including over 30 commercials, documentaries, and feature films. He has worked with notable artists such as Olympia Dukakis, Jason Robards, and Christopher Plummer.

Ibarra, with a background in theater and film spanning a decade, has successfully directed and produced multiple features, earning numerous festival awards along the way. His work in cinematography and production has garnered over 20 million views online and on television.

Tara Reid

The film’s credits include a talented team of contributors, including scriptwriters, cinematographers, prosthetic artists, stunt coordinators, and composer Amanuel Zarzowski, who crafted the original soundtrack.

The esteemed executive producers for Of Things Past are Dr. Sam Mayhugh, Peter J. Bollinger, Nora Betancourt, Eric Ibarra, D. Paul Thomas, Robert Vaughan, and Tara Reid.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness this remarkable film’s long-awaited debut on October 3rd, 2023, as it finally makes its way onto screens across North America.
