Casting Society (CSA) has announced Emmy-nominated actress Yvette Nicole Brown (Act Your Age, Disenchanted, Community) as the host for the 38th Artios Awards to be held on Thursday, March 9 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This annual awards celebration honors the contributions of Casting Professionals to film, television, and theatre. Brown hosted the 36th Artios Awards virtual celebration in 2021 and will be on stage to host this prestigious in-person gala for the first time in two years.
“Yvette did an amazing job hosting the virtual Artios Awards two years ago, and we are excited to see her in person and on stage in front of our casting community in Los Angeles,” said Destiny Lilly, CSA President. “She is a huge advocate for casting professionals and we’re thrilled that she’s our host for our first in-person Artios awards since 2020.”
Rita Moreno, who is an EGOT winner (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards), will be presented with the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement during the ceremony. “Ms. Moreno has an illustrious career and is a cultural icon. We are beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to present to her with this award to celebrate everything that she has accomplished,” said Lilly.
