Vail Resorts, the leading global mountain resort operator with 41 resorts in 15 states and three countries, announces it has named Battery as its creative agency following a competitive review.

The premier mountain resort operator in North America, Vail Resorts has a long history in the ski industry, beginning with the opening of Vail Mountain in 1962 and now spanning across more than 32 hospitality properties across the country.

The brand looks to attract new prospects and deliver a memorable experience, for which Battery will serve as a strategic and creative partner through integrated advertising efforts, starting with work for Breckenridge Resort.

“Our agency search was laser-focused on bringing in the right partner who could capture our brand during this important moment in the new tourism landscape,” said Greg Krummenacker, Director, Vail Resorts Creative Services, Vail Resorts. “Battery’s credentials and storytelling capabilities make them a creative powerhouse and exactly the folks who we want working on our brand.”

Battery will handle creative duties for Vail Resorts, including the launch of an inaugural brand campaign, High Five at Breckenridge, debuting this winter season. The creative is built from the behavioral insight that folks don’t come to Breckenridge to get away, but to be a part of all Breck has to offer. Watch below:

“When you have a community of loyal guests and a client willing to take risks, the only next step is to make incredible work together,” said Scott Brown, Executive Creative Director at Battery. “From the first meeting, we felt a shared ambition to amplify Vail’s incredible offerings and expand that message to even more audiences, and have a little fun while doing it.”

In addition to the Breckenridge partnership, Battery will oversee creative work for Beaver Creek and experiential brand activations for Epic Pass. Additional activations are slated to roll out in the coming months.
