Tom Holland releases first ‘Spidey-3’ pics in mask(s)

After several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic Spider-Man 3 has finally gotten underway in Atlanta. Now, star Tom Holland has shared his first photo costumed up as the webslinger on his Instagram account.

The post doesn’t reveal too much but it does show that Peter Parker is back in action and wearing his Spider-Man: Far From Home costume (which isn’t overly surprising as he ended that movie in that outfit). The actor donned a second mask to follow COVID guidelines on set.

The actual plot is being kept under webbing but we do that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will play Peter’s mentor in the threequel. Strangely (see what we did there?) Jamie Foxx is reprising his role as the villain Electro from Andrew Garfield’s  The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

There are plenty of rumors out there about Spider-Man 3 adapting “Spider-Verse,” but nothing has been confirmed in that respect, and this photo doesn’t reveal too many clues.  There is also talk of Tobey MacGuire and Garfield reprising their roles and joining Holland as the webhead.
