Thing can’t wait to get his thingerprints on Cheetos

thing Cheetos

Snack drama hits Jericho in a new 90-second crossover from PepsiCo Mexico, where the gothic world of Netflix’s Wednesday gets invaded by… a vending machine stuffed with Cheetos. The star this time is Thing, the show’s famously nimble disembodied hand, suddenly faced with its most formidable foe yet: cracking open a crinkly bag of Cheetos using just four fingers and a thumb.

The campaign mantra, “Anything for Cheetos,” plays out as a slapstick quest—Thing will go to ridiculous lengths to feed the craving. Directed by Nicolás Pérez Veiga through Primo for Isla Mexico, the film leans heavily into cinematic texture, with post-production by Mirada (the shop tied to the original series) to capture the show’s eerie polish. Watch below:

Adding to the vibe: a moody soundtrack, anchored by the legendary Chavela Vargas singing La Llorona, which gives the cheesy caper a deliciously haunted edge.

This isn’t the first collab between the orange dust and the dark queen. Cheetos and Wednesday have been playing together around Season 2 since July—remember the Times Square stunt where Thing left neon “Thingerprints” all over Manhattan? Consider this the crunchy sequel.
