The Academy and ABC announce key 96th Oscars date


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 96th Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  The show will air live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

Viewership for the Academy Awards rebounded from the second-lowest on record to the third-lowest. ABC’s telecast of Sunday’s three-hour, 17-minute ceremony from the Dolby Theatre averaged 18.755 million viewers, according to live-plus-same-day figures released by Nielsen Tuesday.
