‘Supernatural’ releases final trailer

(No more carrying on for the Wayward sons)

THEN.

Back in 2005, coming off of a season on the WB’s Smallville, Jensen Ackles would join Gilmore Girls Jared Padalecki in a new fantasy series called, created by my cousin by marriage Eric Kripke, Supernatural.

NOW.

After 320 episodes and 15 seasons the unbelievable run of the Winchester brothers comes to an end. Last week, the series wrapped its primary story arc as Sam, Dean and Jack put an end to God’s ((Rob Benedict) by outsmarting him, using sons Michael (Jake Abel) and Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) as bait.

With the arc over, where do they go from here after their epic journey. The boys have been to Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, The Empty, other dimensions. So where the hell do they go?

The trailer the CW has released gives us very little of what to expect from the 2-hour finale. Called, “Baby, it’s the final ride for saving people and hunting things,” the trailer comes off more as a celebration of the seasons than what will actually happen. We do see Dean eating pie. Who knows maybe David Lynch will show up with Agent Cooper. Watch below:

The two-part series finale event begins at 8:00 pm EST with a one-hour special celebratory episode, featuring exclusive interviews with the stars of the show, followed by the long-awaited final hour at 9:00 pm EST.

We’ll finally say good-bye to the boys. Until the inevitable reboot. Carry on.
