StreetEasy found a very New York way to celebrate Knicks fans. Throughout the NBA Finals, fans gathered across the city for pop-up projection parties, watching the games live on the sides of buildings in neighborhoods across New York.
As the city rallied around the Knicks’ championship run, StreetEasy and Mother New York joined the moment with a projection of the brand’s “Koi Hooper” spot from its recent “Be A Forever New Yorker” campaign.
The activation took place at Little Ruby’s in the West Village, one of the locations where championship games were projected for fans during the Finals. For the special screening, StreetEasy added a new celebratory message to honor Knicks fans who had waited 53 years for a championship. Watch below:
The choice of creative was fitting. “Koi Hooper” stars a true die-hard Knicks fan and was part of StreetEasy’s larger campaign celebrating the people who make New York feel like home. With the city in full basketball celebration mode, the spot became a natural extension of the fan energy spilling into the streets.
As New York’s leading real estate platform, StreetEasy used the moment to connect its brand promise with a shared citywide experience. The activation was not just about showing an ad. It was about meeting New Yorkers where they already were, outside, together, and watching history unfold in real time.
For Mother New York and StreetEasy, the projection turned a campaign about becoming a Forever New Yorker into a tribute to the fans who have been exactly that for more than five decades.
