“I have many fond memories of my time with Denny: from the early days when The Beatles toured with the Moody Blues. Our two bands had a lot of respect for each other and a lot of fun together,” MacCartney said in his post.

Laine’s most famous performance, according to McCartney, was his rendition of Go Now, an old Bessie Banks song, which he sang brilliantly. The two musicians also collaborated on songwriting, with Mull of Kintyre emerging as their most successful joint effort, becoming a major hit in the Seventies.
