Bicoastal production company Sinners and Saints enters Fall 2024 with significant developments, including a new Partner and Executive Producer, Yann Henric, a sprawling new production campus in partnership with Lux Angeles Studios, and new work for Huawei shot on location in China.

Additionally, the company’s documentary Superpower, co-directed by Sinners and Saints’ features EP Aaron Kaufman and Sean Penn, has been nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy as Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary.

Sinners and Saints, overseen by Managing Director/EP Heather Heller, is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) known for its multidisciplinary approach and partnerships with top brands and agencies such as Smirnoff, L’Oréal, FCB, GSD&M, and McCann. The studio’s roster boasts a diverse group of directors, including Jessy Terrero, Adrien Galo, Steve Pink, Julien Rocher, Arnaud Deroudilhe, Ivo Wejgaard, Lado Kvataniya, Remy Cayuela, and Jean Claude Thibaut.

With the addition of Henric, who has an impressive track record working with global brands across Paris, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles, Sinners and Saints is poised to continue expanding its branded content division. Henric recently wrapped his first project at the company, a Robitussin/Theraflu campaign directed by Cayuela and shot in Chile.

“Yann’s proficiency in physical production is exceeded only by his innate ability to relate to talent behind the camera,” noted Heller. “We also share a history of working with a lot of French clients, and the international twist is very apt.”

“Heather and I have a synergy and shared vision that is very organic,” said Henric, who has produced several short films, and one independent feature film, in addition to his work in the branded space. “Coming on board at Sinners and Saints, I can bring the full spectrum of my experience to bear. Plus, Heather prefers action to talk, which is something else we share.”

The company’s recent work for Huawei, directed by Thibault in collaboration with Red Horse Film, showcases Sinners and Saints’ ability to deliver cinematic elegance, with Heller describing the project as having “all the elegance of a Monte Carlo roulette table, with none of the risk.” Additionally, the company is currently working on a comedy campaign in LA with freelance director Jonnie Malachi for an undisclosed client.

Under Heller’s leadership, Sinners and Saints has also expanded its capabilities with a new 40,000 square-foot production campus at the former Netflix building on the corner of Hollywood and N. Las Palmas. This new space provides full capabilities from production through post, cementing the company’s position at the intersection of branded content and feature filmmaking.

The Sinners and Saints leadership team also includes Features Executive Producer Thomas Carroll, who is currently overseeing four films in various stages of development. The company’s updated website now categorizes talent into rostered directors and feature filmmakers, including industry heavyweights like Francis Lawrence and Lisa Joy, who are available on assignment.

Sinners and Saints is represented by Lisa Gimenez Toliver and Deirdre Rimer on the West Coast and Latin America, Carl Forsberg and Justin Lasoff of Apostle NY on the East Coast, and Helen Gardiner in Europe.

Reel 360 News wishes Yann the best of luck at Sinners and Saints.
