Sci-fi drama Fugitive from Asteron debuts official trailer ahead of AFM

Fugitive from Asteron

Sci-fi feature Fugitive from Asteron, adapted from Gen LaGreca’s award-winning novel, has unveiled its official trailer ahead of American Film Market 2025.

The film stars Henry Ian Cusick (Lost, The 100), Rory Gibson (The Young and the Restless), Morgan Bradley (American Skyjacker), and Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman).

Directed by Dan T. Hall (Noble Vision, Greek Fire – Demon Spirit) and executive produced by LaGreca’s Winged Victory Foundation, Fugitive from Asteron was shot across Southern California and Central Indiana and is now in the final stages of post-production.

In Fugitive from Asteron, Arial (Gibson), a young pilot, escapes the oppressive planet Asteron by stealing the spacecraft of its ruthless ruler, Feran (Cusick). With a mysterious and powerful cargo on board, Arial lands on a future Earth and assumes a new identity: Alexander.

Feran soon follows, desperate to reclaim the cargo—a device tied to his secret plans for Earth. Teaming up with pilot Kristin Merrett (Bradley), Alexander must uncover the truth about his stolen cargo and confront a threat that could doom the planet. The film intertwines adventure, romance, and high-stakes mystery, exploring humanity’s timeless search for freedom and purpose.

Dean Cain co-stars as Mykronie Whitman, head of the Interplanetary Travel Division at Merrett Aerospace Systems, and a fellow escapee from Asteron decades earlier. Watch the trailer below:

“The trailer offers a first look at a story rooted in the quest for freedom and truth,” says writer-producer Gen LaGreca. “Bringing this vision to the screen has been an extraordinary journey, and we’re thrilled to share a glimpse ahead of AFM.”

“AFM is the perfect stage to connect with distributors who champion bold, idea-driven storytelling,” adds producer D. Paul Thomas. “We’re excited to introduce Fugitive from Asteron to global buyers.”

The film’s ensemble also includes Jam Murphy (Through the Modern Looking Glass) and Jim Krueger (Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks), with Paul Ruddy serving as casting director. Cinematography is by Mark David (American Cowslip), and Pauline Jones (Jurassic Domination) serves as line producer.

LaGreca and Thomas will be attending AFM 2025, taking meetings with distributors, media, and sales agents. The American Film Market begins this Tuesday, November 11th. Stay with Reel 360 News for coverage.
