SCHROM x Yacht Club has added French director Alex Grima to its growing roster. Known for his artful, high-energy tabletop and food filmmaking, Grima brings a unique blend of technical mastery and visual flair to the U.S. market for the first time. His credits include campaigns for Stella Artois, Lays, Jägermeister and Harry’s.
“Alex has put together a sizable social media following in the tabletop and visual engineering space, so we’ve had our eyes on his work for a while,” said Partner/Executive Producer Joe DePasquale. “In a crowded landscape, it stood out as taste-making and exciting. His images have an energetic, visceral, contemporary feel — without overly indulgent camerawork.”
Raised and based in France, Grima took an unconventional path to directing. A former DJ, he pivoted during the pandemic to food photography and filmmaking, building a technically sophisticated studio and mastering special effects rigging and motion control. Over five years, he’s grown into a tabletop auteur with over 600k combined Instagram and TikTok followers.
“Uniting with SCHROM x Yacht Club perfectly aligns with my goal of expanding where I work and with the right people,” said Grima. “Everything I’ve done is about connecting with people and experiencing new things. This is the natural next step in my creative adventure.”
“Alex clearly enjoys what he does, and that joy comes through in his work,” added DePasquale. “He always delivers something fresh and wants to bring collaborators and audiences into the experience — from the making-of to the final cut.”
Reel 360 News wishes Alex the best of luck at SCHROM x Yacht Club!
