Sabrina Carpenter basically arrived at Dior’s Cruise 2027 show looking like she stepped out of her own glamorous cinematic universe. Attending the highly anticipated Cruise presentation from new creative director Jonathan Anderson at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Carpenter stunned in a sheer butter-yellow Dior look that debuted only minutes later on the runway itself.
And honestly, the dress looked engineered specifically for the ongoing evolution of what the internet has now fully embraced as “Sabrinawood.”
The soft pastel gown featured a structured turtleneck, transparent pleating, visible lingerie detailing, oversized floral appliqués, and layers of flowing tulle that balanced risqué styling with old-school Hollywood glamour.
The result landed somewhere between vintage movie star elegance and dreamy pop-princess chaos. Which, to be fair, is pretty much Carpenter’s brand at this point.
According to fashion coverage of the event, Anderson’s first Dior Cruise collection drew heavily on the house’s history with Hollywood and cinema, making Carpenter an especially fitting guest, given how aggressively she’s leaned into hyper-stylized visual storytelling over the last year.
The appearance also subtly continued Carpenter’s growing relationship with Dior, following her headline-making 2026 Met Gala look, constructed from actual film strips from Sabrina, starring Audrey Hepburn.
Accessories kept the aesthetic fully intact.
Carpenter paired the dress with a matching Dior Cigale bag, satin peep-toe pumps adorned with sculptural bows, and white ribbon details woven into her hair, pushing the look even further into romantic vintage territory.
And while Carpenter is not officially a Dior ambassador, fashion insiders noted that celebrities debuting unreleased runway pieces before shows has become an increasingly common flex among major stars.
Still, Carpenter’s version felt particularly calculated.
Because at this point, Sabrina Carpenter isn’t just dressing for events anymore. She’s building a fully realized visual mythology around herself in real time.
Basically, every red carpet now feels like she’s auditioning for a movie that doesn’t exist yet.
