Rover celebrates every pet quirk and tail wag in campaign

Rover

Rover, the world’s largest online marketplace for loving pet care, has launched “We Get Your Pet,” a new national campaign that celebrates the beautifully weird personalities of pets everywhere.

Developed in partnership with Orchard Creative and Park Pictures, the campaign leans into one universal truth for pet parents: leaving your furry family member with someone else can be nerve-wracking. The ads reframe that anxiety with humor, empathy, and heart, reminding viewers that Rover sitters don’t just handle pets, they get them.

“Pet parents aren’t just looking for someone who can feed their pet,” said Ashton Doyle, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at Rover. “They’re looking for someone who understands their pet is irreplaceable. This campaign shows that Rover sitters celebrate what makes every animal unique.”

Directed by Lucy Sandler of Park Pictures, “We Get Your Pet” is a visual love letter to pets’ quirks and chaos, from dachshunds obsessed with couch pillows to cats that treat hide-and-seek like a full-contact sport. All set to Nasty by Tinashe.

Sandler noted, “We took an animal-first approach. Once we got to know each pet, we adapted the scripts to fit their strengths. That’s what made the performances feel authentic — and the campaign’s message real.” Watch below:

“Using a provocative track and pairing it with pet behavior is strange and funny,” said Heather Larimer, Executive Creative Director at Orchard Creative. “It captures how much pet parents think their dogs and cats are secretly little freaks, and we lean right into that.”

The work debuts at a time when pets have cemented their place as family. Millennials and Gen Z now make up half of U.S. pet parents, with 7 in 10 Gen Z adults saying they’d rather have pets than children—a cultural shift that’s driving demand for empathetic, personalized pet care.

The campaign is now live across streaming audio, digital, social, and connected TV platforms in the U.S.
