Get your axes, crosses and Beetlejuice costumes ready because the Logan Theater has something special planned for ghoul season. For nearly a century, the historic theater has been an institution rooted in the tradition of neighborhood entertainment at the remarkable value movie-goers have come to know and love.

Beginning October 2nd, the historic theater will scream, sorry screen, classic Halloween-themed movies and horror films throughout October in the 7th annual Horror Movie Madness series. All the while, bartenders in the Logan Lounge will be crafting up cryptic cocktails.

This month-long series culminates with a run of selected features: The Exorcist, Se7en, Halloween, The Thing, and the anticipated screening of the 1922 silent film Nosferatu, accompanied by esteemed photoplay organist, Jay Warren.

According to Programming Director Jennifer Zacarias, The Logan is a huge fan of all that is HORROR!

She told REEL360, “We are thrilled we can bring such a line up to our patrons. Mixing up the popular and some of the forgotten give us the opportunity to show movies the way they were filmed to do, on the big screen. There is nothing better the watching The Shining, Beetlejuice or Texas Chainsaw Massacre then on the big screen. “

Zacarias added that in addition to the late-night movie line up, there will be a Halloween Costume party with big prizes Friday, October 19th and a free family double feature matinee on Sunday, October 28th.

To enhance the Halloween atmosphere, the entire theatre will undergo a creepy transformation. Perhaps the ghost of Theatre 2 will make an appearance.
