Perez Hilton was hospitalized Tuesday after authorities responded to concerns about his well-being following a distressing TikTok livestream.
Deputies with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 48-year-old celebrity blogger’s Florida home after receiving multiple calls from viewers who were alarmed by his behavior during the broadcast, which has since been removed from the platform.
According to authorities, deputies spoke with Hilton’s family and determined that he was alone inside the residence at the time of the livestream.
The sheriff’s office said responding deputies focused on de-escalation and crisis-intervention procedures. “In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication,” the department said in a statement.
Authorities later confirmed that Hilton had been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he was receiving medical care.
Members of the sheriff’s office Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals remained at the scene to provide support and resources to his family.
No additional information about Hilton’s condition has been released.

His representatives, Golden Artists Entertainment co-CEOs Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan, issued a statement saying they had been attempting to reach him. “We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton,” they said. “Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well-being, as well as the well-being of his family.”
They added that they would not speculate until they had confirmed information and asked that his privacy be respected.
Hilton has previously discussed several recent health challenges, including an extended hospital stay and treatment for a serious blood clot.
The internet personality is the father of three children, whom he welcomed via surrogate in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
