Beth Stern is publicly celebrating her marriage to Howard Stern as the veteran broadcaster faces criticism over reported layoffs and a reduced schedule for his SiriusXM program.
In a new interview with Bella magazine, Beth described Howard as her closest companion and a dedicated supporter of her animal rescue work.
“My relationship with my husband—he makes everything in my life good,” she said. “He’s my best friend, my rescue partner and the biggest supporter of my life’s mission to save animals.”
Beth added that the affection has not faded after nearly two decades of marriage. “I told him just this morning that I still get butterflies every time I see him,” she said.
Her comments arrive amid reports that more than a dozen staff members associated with The Howard Stern Show were laid off as part of broader changes to the program.
Howard, 72, has not publicly addressed the reported cuts.
According to reports, some affected employees have been seeking improved severance packages after initially being offered one week of pay for each year of service. While some staff members reportedly anticipated reductions following changes to the show’s production schedule, others were said to have been caught off guard.
The staffing news follows a significant reduction in the program’s live output. For much of its run, The Howard Stern Show aired multiple live broadcasts each week. Under its current format, the program has reportedly shifted to one three-hour live show per week.
The show is currently on its annual summer hiatus and is expected to return in September.
Some SiriusXM subscribers have criticized the reduced schedule online, with several listeners threatening to cancel their subscriptions because of the decrease in original programming.
The changes come only months after Stern signed a new three-year agreement to remain with SiriusXM through 2028.

Away from the controversy surrounding the show, Howard and Beth have become closely associated with animal welfare.
The couple regularly foster cats awaiting adoption and have raised funds for rescue organizations, including North Shore Animal League America and Bianca’s Furry Friends.
Beth frequently uses her public platform to encourage adoption and support animal rescue initiatives. She is also preparing to attend Bella magazine’s annual Cards for a Cure fundraiser in Westhampton Beach, benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Her interview appears in the magazine’s July/August issue.
Howard and Beth married in 2008 and divide their time among homes in New York City, the Hamptons and Palm Beach, Florida.
While Howard has remained silent about the reported staff cuts, Beth’s message was clear: whatever professional turbulence surrounds him, she remains firmly in his corner.
