It’s Mother’s Day weekend, so what better time than to release a trailer about one of cinema’s strongest moms lately. We are of course talking about Emily Blunt, who starred in the 2018 thriller A Quiet Place. Now, Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for A Quiet Place Part II.
The trailer takes us back to the beginning of the alien invasion, as Lee Abbott (director John Krasinski) is picking up oranges from a local mom and pop store. Lee catches a glimpse of the horror that awaits on TV. We then cut to father and daughter Regan (Millicent Simmons) running terrified through the streets of their small town.
Then, we follow mother Evelyn and the kids (Noah Jupe) in their new apocalyptic world without Lee. They meet a mysterious survivor played by Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins; Inception). We then see a barrage of intense shots as everyone fights to survive the deadly threat posed by alien and human alike. Watch A Quiet Place II below:
Krasinki – who gained fame as Jim in The Office – has become one of the most bankable talents Hollywood both as an actor and filmmaker.
“Following the deadly events at home,” reads the Quiet Place II synopsis, “the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
A Quiet Place Part II arrives exclusively in theaters in the U.S. on May 28 and in the UK on June 3.
Can. Not. Wait.
